I want to tell you a little bit about the work I've been incubating. I began applying myself to a creative practice during a time of great flux. My confidence in both my identity as an artist and my ability to meaningfully contribute increased even as I faced serious challenges.  So far, I have addressed such themes as gender, violence, holistic health and healing, and spirituality.  My influences range from the everyday to a choreopoetic aesthetic and black feminist thought. One of my favorite mediums is collage. I also enjoy incorporating found objects, spiritually charged items, and ritual. I am rooted in a variety of disciplines including spoken word, visual art, performance art, photography, and film with plans to expand my skill set yet further.
